FAI
System Details:
The FAI System is an Electronic
Fresh Air Intake Control System that was conceived for
consumers with air tight homes or new construction.
Although the installation is basically the same as any
air exchanger; it's concept has been totally
revolutionized in order to meet all the expectations of
consumer demands.
To emphasize this point, we will
enumerate all the different changes and the reason
behind them:
A) The Fan: This is the
most important part of this product. By choosing our
fan, we took in consideration it's durability and the
amount of noise it produced at low levels of operation.
Although all fans produce what is called wind sound;
ours does not have an electrical resonance at low speed
(we use a transformer) which can become annoying to the
consumer. The quality with which our fan is produced is
backed up by the 10 year warranty that we issue with
confidence.
B) The Sensor: Our
temperature sensor will control the good function of the
system by comparing the temperature inside the dwelling
to outside and temper as best as possible, the air
coming into the dwelling by heating the air entering.
C) Electronic Board: There
is an electronic board which is pre-programmed to three
different applications of high speed. It controls the
amount of heating needed to heat the air coming in. The
diffusion of air is on three different applications:
1) 115 CFM,
2) 145 CFM,
3) 245 CFM.
The control of heated air is based
on a 20°C
(68°F)
household comfort zone. If the outside temperature is
less than this, the built-in heater will heat the air at
the entry level. The system maintains a regular low of
80 CFM
D) Filtration: The FAI
System is equipped with a filter which is up to 60%
efficient against air pollution. At that level the
filter is quiet affordable. A HEPA filter is available
on request.
E) Flexibility: The design
of the unit makes the installation very flexible.
F) Weight: The weight of
this unit is only twenty eight pounds (23 lbs),
therefore the freight cost is less for the consumer and
is easier to handle, both by the dealer and the
consumer.
G) Size: The FAI System is
approximately one cubic foot (1' x 1' x 1.5'). This
product can be installed in almost any place because it
is so small.
H) Air Changes: The
consumer has a choice between 3 different top speed air
changes:
1) One high speed air input
every hour for 15 minutes, or
2) One high speed air input
every hour for 30 minutes, or
3) One high speed air input
every hour for 45 minutes.
I) Humidity Sensor: This
unit is equipped with a Humidity Sensor which will
regulate the flow speed of air during cold dry periods
so that the unit cannot go on high speed when the air is
dry, thus avoiding situations where excessive dryness
could cause floor cracks and nose bleeds. It will also
minimize the cost of heating the air coming in.
